Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey is the first Straight whiskey to use winter wheat as its primary grain, creating a soft, sweet flavor and medium finish. New to the market in 2023, this barrel proof extension to the Bernheim brand delivers the same smoothness, with even deeper flavor. The color is mahogany with oak staves and fresh bread on the nose. The taste has buttery notes of caramel and honey with clove spiciness and a soft, yet complex, finish. Pulled from right from the barrel, Bernheim Barrel Proof is premium wheat whiskey in its undiluted form.
Each release of Barrel Proof has its own unique batch number and proof that vary from edition to edition.
The newest expression of Bernheim, Bernheim Barrel Proof, is made from barrels of Wheat Whiskey aged from seven to nine years that are mingled togehter and bottled and uncut without chill filtration.
This whiskey has won numerous awards including Double Gold at the 2023 TAG Global Spirits Awards and Gold at the 2023 SIP Awards.
