Calvet, one of the oldest French wine brands in the world, was founded in 1818 by Jean-Marie Calvet. Sixth-generation négociant and direct descendant Jean-Christophe Calvet is reintroducing the Calvet brand back into the US market.

This Cremant follows the production principles of the Champagne region. All grapes are harvested manually, secondary fermentation occurs in the bottle and there’s a minimum of 12 months of aging on the lees before it’s bottled. The wine is balanced, charming, elegant, and floral with a lively mousse and refreshing acidity. The effervescent palate provides flavors of strawberry, raspberry, cassis, and citrus with a touch of biscuit. Serve with light pasta dishes, wild salmon fillets, or as an aperitif.
